Josh Garner was approached by a security guard at Hudson Regional Hospital at 55 Meadowlands Parkway in Secaucus around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16.
"Mr. Garner was smoking a cigarette, which is not permitted on the hospital grounds," Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said. "When security asked him to move he told security he would shoot them and further stated he would shoot up the hospital."
Garner was not found in possession of any weapons at the time of his arrest, Miller said. He was charged with terroristic threats, hindering apprehension and providing false information to police. He was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
